what was promoted as being the biggest demo ..ever..

is perhaps the biggest fizzer..ever..

the herald is claiming 4-5,000 thousand marchers..

but it was 2,500-3,000 max..

so lets be generous and say 3,000..

(i mean..the marchers only filled one block of queen st..

as the tail crossed swanson st..the nose was entering the queen st/vic st intersection..

if that’s 5,000..i’ll eat my blog..)

i had some fun..baiting the scattered rightie crowd..

and is was a mish-mash of causes..

family first/sensible sentencing/the smackers..

and an interesting variety of placards..

from ‘john key is revoting’..

to ..’adam and eve is ok..not adam and steve’..

so..$500,000 divided by 3,000 = about $166 per marcher..

d’yareckon that guy who pissed a half a mill up against the wall on this..will be feeling a bit sick now..?

(update:..national radio is calling the march-numbers as 1,000..(!)

that means that guy..(who should now be curled in a foetal position..sobbing..)

spenf $500 for every marcher..
