..i’ve just perused the tvone evening programmes ..for this week..
..and this is how it breaks down..as in ..what could i bear watching..
(disclaimer:..i loathe crime/disease/cooking-’shows’..)
sat:..nothing:..’louis theroux’ at 1.30 am (sun morn)..is the only one to tempt me..(not being an adam sandler/romantic comedy fan..)
sun:..we have a crime-drama..bracketed by two reality shows..and the fluff (usually!) that passes for current affairs..on ‘sunday’..
..’rome at’ 12.10am (mon morn) would be the only one to tempt me..
mon:..this night has a definite ‘theme’..
..crime-reality..followed by medical-reality..followed by crime-reality (local)..
..and topping the evening off..?..’sex-change soldier’..at 11.05 pm..
tues:..coro..aussie domestic drama..crime-reality (local)..
..’big love’..at 11 pm..might tempt me..
wed:..consumer-show..reality/advice show (local)..latta on kids..watchable)..
..followed by crime-drama..then crime-reality (local)..
..latta is the only (one-off) watchable there…
thurs:..coro..medical-drama..crime-drama..
..and you can top this evening of ‘quality-viewing’..with a ‘change’..some crime-reality(local)..at 11.25pm..eh..?
..you are spoilt…!
fri:..reality-show (fashion)..crime-drama..reality (ghosts)..
..an ancient einfeld comedy-sketch show at 11.00pm is the only ‘tempter’ there..
..so..there it is…!
..whoar..!..eh..?..(even i am shocked at the actual breakdown.!..
..the current weekly offerings from our (state-owned) cultural flagship…
..the ‘wall-to-wall crap’ thesis is pretty much q.e.d..eh..?
(update:..and surely..we can only conclude..
..the target-audience for tvone..
..is the crime-obsessed/voyueristic hypochondriacs..
..in our midst..
..a very ‘scared’/ignorant audience..eh..?..
..is this what we have become..?..)
