(hmm..!..i find that rightwinger fran o’sullivan has come to the same conclusion i argued on kiwiblog yesterday..)
namely..that we are poland to australias’ european union..(she didn’t say that..i said that..)
..and that full economic union with australia..
..is the only way we will close the wage-gulf/’catch-up’..
and what is so wrong with that idea..?
i’m not tallking about losing our ‘identity’ as a nation..
i mean..poland..tho’ it has joined the european union..
is most definitely still poland..
so those who oppose such an idea on ‘nationalism’-grounds…
can still their fevered brows..eh..?
and maybe give the idea some reasoned consideration…?
and of course the ultimate irony here..is that don brash..in his fierce ‘freemarket-advocacy/policies..
..has always been a mini-me to the american freemarket-guru..allan greenspan..
yet what brash does not appear to have caught up with yet..
is the recent grilling greenspan received from a congressional committee..
where he admitted that in his over-arching economic worldview/long-held-beliefs/policies….
that he had been ‘wrong’..(the crash of ’08 having poured that realisation over his head..)
maybe brash should get a copy of that ‘grilling’/mea culpa from greenspan..
..off that inter-webby thingy..
and take it along to the next act caucus meeting..
for a group viewing/conciousness-raising/political ‘lesson’..
