comment@whoar:…(the beneficary-bashing campaign continues….)…”Fraudsters rob pensions of the dead”

(at a time when we have failed finance company owners sitting back..laughing…their vaults full of other peoples’ cash…

…getting away with it/scott-free….

…and coming from a newspaper that has spent most of the last decade fawning over these scumbags….

..on their social/business/editorial-pages…

…(and one that was so derelict in its’ watchdog duties…)

…this one has my jaw dropping…

..’cos here is a campaign the herald can really get its’ teeth into…

…the get/demonise/marginalise beneficiaries/the poor……

..so we have a (front-page no less) bad-beneficiary-story ..(shock horror..!..implying ‘stealing from the dead’..)

…about 15 people….

…and a total fraud-loss..$1.6 mill….gee..!..bad..!..but we should have been so lucky if those financial company scumbags had only taken such chump-change..eh..?

this is a nadir for the herald….and a yellow-journalism stake in the sand…)

the front fucken page..?…the fucken headline…?

..w.t.f. were you thinking…?

…aren’t you meant to be our ‘quality’-rag/broadsheet…?

…not just a yellow-tabloid..?

(here is the ‘story’…)

“…Benefit fraudsters have stolen $1.6 million from taxpayers by claiming the pensions of dead family members.

Widows, children and grandchildren illegally claimed an average of $105,000 each by forging signatures on superannuation forms to show their dead relative was alive.

In some cases, the illegal pension payments went on for 15 years.

The long-running rorts were discovered last year after the Ministry of Social Development started a nationwide “data-mining” investigation into 250,000 deaths since 1984.

Fifteen people have since pleaded guilty to criminal charges…”

(see what i mean…?…maybe page eight…?….but the fucken headline….?…front page…?

…that was the biggest thing happening locally/internationally…in the last 24 hrs…?

..f.f.s…!

…nothing could make your agenda clearer….eh..?..)…
