Why, when you’ve made it patently clear from the start how busy you are, do people send you on a guilt trip when you finally do wind things up?

Is there really a need for those marytred ‘Oh … oh no, fine … I must let you get on’ tones?

And phone calls aren’t much fun anyway.

They’re like going for a coffee without the coffee..”
