6.45 am to 6.50 am on tvones’ breakfast show set a new benchmark in people opining about what they know sweet fuck all about…
..this time it was charter schools..
..the breakfast person who does business..co-hosting for the day..(and costumed up for a period/downton abbey performance..(?)..)..
..did her usual ‘public-bad..private good’ spiel..
..the male co-host seems to have consumed fairy-dust..and to be under some illusion these charter schools will be gathering up ‘troubled’ students…and helping them..
..(dream on..!..sailor..!..)
..and the one sliver of sense spoken by the news-reader was when she pointed out that actually charter schools cull the weakest..to improve/maintain their overall achievement-rankings..
..and i am no real language police-person..but could someone tell that newsreader that parata is not pronounced ‘parroter’..)
..this five minutes of television stopped me in my news-gathering tracks…frozen in the headlights of inanity..as it were…
..why on earth do people who read material..prepared by others..from monitors..feel they are qualified to pontificate on shit they clearly demonstrate from the nonsense they utter..that they know absolutely nothing about..?
..( a minor mystery of the life..that one..are they really that un-self-aware..?)
..shouldn’t/couldn’t they do even some basic research of their own..?..
..(and no..listening to talkback radio does not count as ‘research’..)
