“..Is the Lord of the Rings director pushing his new Tolkien project to ridiculous extremes because he has nothing else to offer?..”
(cont..)
(ed:..tho’ not a tolkien fan (i failed to complete the massive medieval cross-country hiking saga that is ‘the lord of the rings’ – boredom/ennui set in…and i found his writing style to be both turgid and un-necessarily crowded/busy..)….i have/did read ‘the hobbit’..
..and am amazed at how a trilogy is apparently able to be wrung out of such a light/slight story…
..(is it padded out with fight-scenes/car-chases..?
..and of course there is ‘the walking’…
..(always with ‘the walking’..eh..?..)
..and i don’t think i have shoes stout enough to bother..eh..?
..and in fact in my own little way..by affecting the tin-tin trouser-styling..and trying to generate a fashion buzz around such..(no draughts..!..try it..!..you’ll love it..!..and socks come into their own as a fashion/styling-item..eh..?..layered-socks..mmm!!..)..
..i am already attempting to do what i can repair the massive damage done to herges’ creation..by jackson..
..however for tolkiens’ creations…i don’t care so much..
..and out of proportion uber-knobbly-feet just don’t do it for me..eh..?….)
