“…Honda has announced a robotic lawnmower, called Miimo, that, like everyone’s favorite automated vacuum cleaner, moves in random patterns until it’s covered the prescribed area.

Only instead of chasing dust bunnies in a house – Miimo takes about 3 millimeters off the top of owners’ lawns.

Miimo has sensors to help it avoid obstacles – and users prevent it from leaving the yard by burying wires along the borders.

Honda says lift sensors shut down the spinning blades the moment anything causes Miimo to come off the ground.

When it runs low, the mower returns to its base station to recharge…”
