i should first note that i can watch what i call quality-crap television..
..with ‘wife swap’ being an example of that genre..
..and i have even been known to slum with ‘millionaire matchmaker’..
..i confess to this to demonstrate that i approached ‘the ridges’ with an open mind..
..hoping for something so bad it is good..?
..a new classic of the genre..?
..but this one is just so bad it is bad..
..it is almost beyond bad..
..it is teeth-grittingly/hair-tearingly bad..
..and the nearest thing i can compare it too is being forced to sit at a table in a cafe..
..and having to listen to/endure the loud/inane twitterings from a neighboring table…
..the musings/shriekings of the beyond self-absorbed..
..and ultimately eye-wateringly boring..
..that is ‘the ridges’..
(update:..a one-phrase review would read:..
..’it makes the g.c. look like high art’..)
